The Household Fund, funded by Action Together, is an ongoing community project dedicated to helping residents across Oldham who are struggling with the cost of living. We provide essential support to families, individuals, and people with no access to public funds, ensuring that everyone in our community can access basic needs such as food, school uniforms, and household essentials.

The aim of the Household Fund is simple — to offer practical help and emergency support to those most in need. Many families and individuals in Oldham face financial challenges due to rising living costs, limited access to benefits, or sudden life changes. Through this project, we are committed to reducing hardship, promoting dignity, and strengthening community resilience.

What We Provide

Through funding from Action Together, we’re able to offer support in several key areas:

1. School Uniform Assistance

We help families struggling to afford school uniforms by providing new or gently used items so that every child can attend school with confidence and pride.

2. Food Support

We supply food parcels to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. Our food support aims to cover essentials for families and individuals experiencing financial difficulty.

3. Household Essentials

We assist with basic home necessities such as toiletries, cleaning supplies, and other daily items that are often taken for granted but make a big difference to comfort and well-being.

4. Support for People With No Access to Public Funds

We understand the unique challenges faced by individuals and families with no recourse to public funds (NRPF). The Household Fund offers practical support to help them access essentials and stay connected with community resources.

5. Emergency Help for Everyone in Need

Whether it’s a one-off crisis or ongoing hardship, our project provides emergency assistance to anyone in need across Oldham — regardless of background, status, or circumstance.

The fund is open to:
